So here is a cool project that my friend Andrew Huang (from Songs to wear pants to) kindly allowed me to be a part of!
Andrew won a contest for his idea to make GHOST II, which is an installation/interactive exploration of music: ”Multiple videos, each containing a different audio track, will be controlled by the audience. The audio will be constructed in such a way that simultaneous playback of the videos, regardless of when each one starts or stops, will result in a pleasing piece of music.”
Andrew and Emily Haines (Metric) are putting together the installation, so she’s asking some of her friends to make video performances, and Andrew has asked me and some of his other musically happy friends to contribute a performance as well.
All of our performances will come together on November 14-16 at the Four Seasons Centre (facebook event link here). The installation will be open every day from 8am-9pm.
I am excited to see what Andrew comes up with and to see what all of our performances sound like together. I’m grateful that he allowed me to contribute to this and hope you’ll come by to check it out!
I also have great respect for Emily and her solo projects especially, so I was also excited to hear that Andrew had been paired up with her.
Fun!
And now, back to exam studying/papers…. almost donnnnne!!!
